About Dr. Nnaemeka Umerah

Nnaemeka Umerah, MD, is a dedicated gynecologist and skilled cosmetic surgeon at Women’s Health Institute in Macon and Warner Robins, Georgia. Dr. Umerah strives to deliver quality patient experiences in all aspects of their health care.

Dr. Umerah received his master’s of business administration as well as a master’s degree with distinction from Tepper School of Business and Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. 

He completed his medical education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine, where he earned a Board of Governors Medical scholarship. 

After graduation, Dr. Umerah pursued his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Drexel University’s College of Medicine. After becoming a gynecologist, he became an associate clinical professor at Mercer University’s School of Medicine for their department of OB/GYN. 

Dr. Umerah practices all aspects of general gynecology, but has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, incontinence and lower extremity vein disorders. His expertise also includes Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS). 

He is a board-certified gynecologist through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also holds fellowship in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and professional membership in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
