After graduation, Dr. Umerah pursued his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Drexel University’s College of Medicine. After becoming a gynecologist, he became an associate clinical professor at Mercer University’s School of Medicine for their department of OB/GYN.
Dr. Umerah practices all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, but has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, incontinence and lower extremity vein disorders. His expertise also includes Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS).
He is a board-certified gynecologist through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also holds fellowship in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and professional membership in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
