WHAT TO EXPECT
BodyTite is usually performed with local anesthesia, but general anesthesia may be used for patients who are more nervous or having several areas treated. The special BodyTite applicator is inserted through tiny incisions in the skin where an internal and external thermoguide will protect the patient from burns. The applicator will loosen and liquefy the fat with radiofrequency waves so the fat can be easily suctioned out of the body. The heat used during the fat removal will tighten the skin and connective tissue for immediate skin contraction. BodyTite treatments usually takes 30 – 45 minutes per area treated and multiple sessions may be needed or recommended for ideal results.
ANTICIPATED RESULTS
Most patients will need to rest at home for 5 – 10 days after their BodyTite treatment. A compression garment should be worn over the treated areas to promote healing while maintaining the new body shape. Some results will be seen immediately, and continue to improve for 3 – 6 months as the swelling and inflammation subside.
