Emeka Umerah M.D. MBA. MSHCPM. FACOG

Dr. Emeka Umerah is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of several medical professional organizations including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). He practices all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology, but has special interest in advanced minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, incontinence, and lower extremity vein disorders. He has expertise in Single Incision Laparoscopic ("scar-less") Surgeries (SILS) and is a national proctor for Covidien.

He obtained his MD from the University of North Carolina School of medicine at Chapel Hill where he was a Board of Governors Medical scholar. He completed his postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at Drexel University School of medicine in Philadelphia. He also holds an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's degree with distinction from the H. John Heinz School of Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.

He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Department of OB/GYN, Mercer University School of Medicine

Dr. Umerah is also a National Proctor for Applied Medical, AMS, and Covidien. The position of National Proctor places Dr. Umerah in the forefront of industry advances.
